Dearly Beloved,
Greetings in the name of our Lord - the Most High God!
As we come to the end of the year 2018, it is that time of the year when many of us evaluate and take stock of our lives over the course of the year and begin to get prepared for the year ahead.
For us at the Builders With God Ministry (BWGM), when we look at the year 2018, we can only but give praise to our Senior Partner, The Builder Himself – Jesus Christ. We fully acknowledge that without him, we can do nothing.
It is amazing how much lives have been touched during the course of the year. It is difficult to identify all the highlights because they are genuinely so many, and personally, I have thoroughly had a fruitful year delivering God’s end time message and preparing the saints for the task yet ahead.
I recall that in February, we had a Youth Forum - ‘How To Prepare For Valentine’s Day’ - specially designed to ensure that young people are prepared for February 14 – popularly known as Valentine’s Day.
The reality is that a number of destinies are thwarted on the altar of sexual immorality which is prevalent on that day while statistics show that there is a 20-30% increase in the sale of condoms, anti-pregnancy pills and antibiotics that prevent STDs during valentine's season.
The Truth, however, is that there is Grace available, yea, much more grace to overcome all forms of sexual immorality not just during Valentine's season, but every other day. To all these heavenly provisions, our young attendees were exposed.
To the glory of our God, testimonies abound of the mighty deliverances, salvation and illumination in the lives of participants.
In March, we hosted the Ibadan Ministers’ Conference for Church Leaders, Bishops, Pastors, Evangelists and Christian leaders with the theme: ‘Towards the Effective Church’.
We saw the state of the ‘church’ and its failings – lacking truth, powerless, ineffective and money-centric – as against The Church, which under God, is a powerful, effective, society changing people without worldliness. It was a time of sober reflection and repentance as God spoke His Word to his servants in Ibadan.
We also during the course of the conference launched our online radio – (www.bwgm.org/live-stream) and have continued with our weekly broadcasts at 6pm every Monday and Friday.
These broadcasts have helped us reach a wider range of believers with the truth of God’s Word. Endeavor to tune in.
On May 1st, we held the Labour Day Ministers’ Conference in Lagos: tagged ‘Preparing For The Inevitable’.
Aside sounding the alarm and getting the Church ready for the things that are imminent, it was a time of refreshing for thirsty souls, re-dedication unto God, revival and restoration unto greater works and celebration of God’s servants – men and women who are sold out to the Kingdom – labourers in our Father’s vineyard.
In September, we held the first ministers conference in the Fulani-populated area of Baruba land in Kwara state. Prior to the conference, we have been involved in direct evangelism (including crusades in very remote villages and camps), training of ministers at a smaller scale, literacy missions, veterinary missions and medical missions.
But this time, it was a 2-day conference (camp style) in furtherance of the total man model we have been working with over the last 6 years in Baruba land.
To the glory of God, we had about a thousand ministers in attendance who came hungry but left filled up and willing to light up their ethnos. They came from as far as Benin Republic and The Builder did not disappoint them as He not only nourished them with the word of life on "Our Stewardship" but fed all physically and with added bonuses of healings, miracles, signs and wonders. Glory to Jesus!
In December, we had the first BWGM Youth Forum Engagement Session. This forum is a smaller but intense version of our usual youth forums.
This gives room for deliberate counselling, follow-up and engagement with young people spearheaded by cell groups. We are hoping to replicate these sessions in a cell group closer to you.
Thank you for supporting us in 2018. Your prayers and support means more than you could ever know. We love and appreciate each one of you that have stood with us. May the Lord bless you richly.
I must also commend the Sure Foundation (the workforce of the BWGM) for their tireless yielding to be used of God. We achieve much not because we know how, but because we allow Him do His work in us and through us!
Finally, in the next few days, as we approach the end of the year 2018 and herald 2019, I say, hold the fort. Let us not be distracted by the season but rather, seize the opportunity to advance God’s kingdom.
We in the BWGM family wish you and yours a merry Christmas and a blessed New Year ahead. May 2019 bring many blessings and the fulfillment of God’s promises to you.
Remember, Christ is our passion and building his body is our mission. Maranatha!
See you in 2019!
Your Co-laborer,
Dele Oyeleru
